«He would like to see the snowy mountains but realises there is so many amazing things to see right on his own doorstep.» How can this be? But these were the true thoughts and wishes of the goat in Gareth Stamp’s second book, The Goat Who Wanted to Travel. In this story, the action takes place in the bustling city of Bangalore and it seems that this city was chosen for good reason. After all, in the center of the event are animals, that is, goats, which are characteristic of the living creatures of this city.
The author in his recent interviews shared that he understood what life is given for. «Life is meant to live» — this is the modest statement of the author, and it seems that this kind of «discovery» helped to write one of the interesting stories for children.
The main character is a very curious and unusual goat. «He was very inquisitive and constantly got into trouble-especially with goats!» — this is how the author describes him. Yes, and indeed the situations in which he found himself were especially dangerous for him. The curiosity of one goat was so strong that in one the day he decided to go closer to the butcher’s shop. Frightened by what he saw, he unusually jumped into the tuk-tuk and moving away from his familiar places, he discovered a new world for himself. And the more he moved away, the more new and unusual life he saw. After a while, the so-called tuk-tuk turns into the street from which he ran away from the butcher. Then he realized that the new world he was seeing was only part of the neighborhood of their own dilapidated barn.
The author clearly tells about a fairly common problem of our society. After all, no matter how beautiful the unknown places are, we will not be able to understand this without giving up what we have in our hands. It is the opposite character to the goat, is a swallow that flew all over the world in search of nest. In various literatures and stories, «the bird» is always about freedom and freedom of character. Such is this character of the book. It makes the reader understand that only by knowing and discovering knowing who really you are, can admire the greatness of others. And it is in this direction that the goat changes, in the beginning we present it as a restless and curious young goat, in an undying desire to see the whole world. And in the end, he deliberately understands the full significance of the life that he has and does not rush to another life. The book is intended for children and is suitable for young readers from 5 to 12 years old. Given this book’s advantages, I would recommend it to my younger siblings.
After reading this book, the reader asks the question «What are my values in life? Do I want to be a person in a hurry to conquer what is unknown now, or to become the happiest person where you’re welcome and loved?». So everyone should decide for themselves what is right and what is not now, before it is too late later.

Но таковы были истинные мысли и пожелания козлика во второй книге Гарета Стампа «Козлик, который хотел путешествовать». В данном рассказе действия проходят в шумном городе Бангалор и кажется, не зря выбран этот город. Ведь в центре события оказываются животные, а именно, козы, что характерны для живности этого города.Автор в своих последних интервью делился, что понял для чего дана жизнь. «Жизнь дана для того, чтобы жить» — таким образом звучит скромное высказывание автора, и кажется это, своего рода, «открытие» помогло написать одну из интересных рассказов для детей.Главным героем является очень любопытный и необычный козлик. «Он был очень любознателен и постоянно попадал в неприятности, — особенно с козочками средних лет!» — вот как его описывает автор. Да, и действительно ситуации в которые он попадал были особенно опасными для него. Любопытство одного козлика оказалось настолько сильным, что в один день он решил подойти ближе к магазину мясника. Испугавшись увиденным, он необычайным образом запрыгнула в тук-тук и отдаляясь от своих знакомых мест он открывал новый мир для себя. И чем больше он отдалялся, тем больше нового и необычного он видел. Спустя некоторое время, так называемый тук-тук поворачивает в улицу, от которой он убежал от мясника. Тогда он понял, что новый мир, который он видел, это лишь часть окрестности их же обветшалого сарая.Автор наглядно рассказывает, о довольно распространенной проблеме нашего общества. Ведь какой бы прекрасной не оказались неизведанные нами места, мы не сможем понять этого, не отказавшись того, что у нас в руках. Именно противоположным персонажем козлику, является ласточка, пролетевшая весь мир в поисках гнезда. В разных литературах и рассказах «птица» – это всегда про вольность и свободу характера. Таковой и является данный персонаж книги. Она дает читателю понять, что только познав и открыв самого себя, можно восхититься величием других. И именно в такую сторону меняется козлик, в начале мы представляем его неспокойным и любопытным юный козликом, в неугасающем желании повидать весь мир. А в конце он осознанно понимает, всю значимость той жизни, которую имеет и не торопиться к другой жизни. Книга предназначена для детей и подходит для юных читателей от 5-ти до 12-ти лет. Учитывая это преимущества книги я бы посоветовала его своим младшим братьям и сестрам.После прочтения данной книги читатель задается вопросом «Каковы мои ценности жизни? Хочу ли я быть человеком, торопившегося покорять то, что неизведанно сейчас, или стать самым счастливым человеком там, где любят и ждут?». Так что каждый должен решить для себя что правильно, а что нет сейчас, пока не будет поздно потом.
