As a child, Tajik writer Gulsifat Shahidi listened to old fairy tales that her grandmother told her before going to bed, and in order to save the legacy of the past generations, she, a grandmother herself, merges her grandchildren into the fairy-tale world. This is how the book «Tales of grandma Gulsifat» appeared, published in 2018 by the British publishing house «Hertfordshire press».
The book includes 9 small, not-connected fairy tales, each of which has its own name, that reflects the main character of the story. The title of the book —
«Tales of grandma Gulsifat» makes the reader to think about the historicity of the name. It hides not only the meaning, but also the story itself. It has a pleasant fantasy, it seems as if every reader comes to visit grandma Gulsifat, where she leads a conversation with a young reader, inviting him/her to go on a fascinating journey, while they sit comfortably in an easy chair with a cup of raspberry hot tea in their hands and with their eyes closed, they listen to her stories.
With the help of her characters the author was able to create such heroes of fairy tales, who are willing to set an example for children and who are characters with high moral qualities. Their faith in friendship and in love help us to believe in good again, to find it in ourselves. They encourage us to become a better person.
Although animals in the real world are not able to use human speech, after reading, the reader begins to believe in the realism of each character and consider them real, able to feel and understand us, which is the leitmotif throughout the story.
This work is not suitable for children who can not read and do not understand big and complex texts. It is reasonably suitable for thoughtful reading and analytical ability. Thus, the target audience of the collection is represented by children of primary school age. Children of the above-mentioned age group participate in a large number of social processes, so fairy tales can help them quickly adapt to the new world.
This work is not an ordinary «toy book». In addition to the entertainment function, which is clearly reflected in the colorful and interesting illustrations, it unobtrusively teaches young readers, educating them with high senses of morality, the values of friendship, valor and bravery, the importance of family and peace.
The power lies in the fact that the child, reading these stories, some of which can
even bring an adult to tears, himself realizes the understanding and acquisition of these qualities.
«Tales of grandma Gulsifat» — more than a book. It is a friend of a child who is able to speak his/her language. This book can be a mind guide at the beginning of every child’s life.
Таджикистанская писательница Гульсифат Шахиди в детстве перед сном слушала старинные сказки, которые ей рассказывала ее бабушка, и дабы сохранить наследие ушедших поколений, она, уже сама став бабушкой, погружает в сказочный мир своих внуков. Так и появилась книга «Сказки бабушки Гульсифат», изданная в 2018 году британским издательским домом «Hertfordshire press».
Книга включает в себя 9 небольших, между собой не связанных, сказок, каждая из которых имеет собственное название, имённо отражающее главного героя произведения. Название книги — «Сказки бабушки Гульсифат» наталкивает читателя на мысли об историчности названия. В нем скрыт не только смысл, но и сама история. Оно располагает к приятным фантазиям – будто каждый читатель приходит в гости к бабушке Гульсифат, где она ведет беседу с юным читателем, приглашая отправиться в увлекательное путешествие, уютно расположившись в мягком кресле с чашечкой горячего чая с малиной и, закрыв глаза, слушать ее истории.
Автор с помощью своих персонажей смогла создать таких героев сказок, которых хочется ставить в пример детям и которые высоконравственным характером, верой в дружбу и любовь помогают снова верить в добро, обретая его в нас самих. Они побуждают нас становиться лучше. Хотя животные в реальном мире лишены возможности пользоваться человеческой речью, по прочтению читатель начинает верить в реалистичность каждого героя и считать их настоящими, способными чувствовать и понимать каждого из нас, что идет лейтмотивом по ходу всего повествования.
Данное произведение не рассчитано на малышей, не умеющих читать и не воспринимающих больших и сложных текстов. Оно обоснованно подходит для вдумчивого чтения и способности к анализу. Таким образом целевую аудиторию сборника представляют дети младшего школьного возраста. Дети вышеупомянутой возрастной категории участвуют в обширном количестве общественных процессов, поэтому сказки способны помогать им быстрее адаптироваться в новом для них мире.
Данное произведение не является обычной «книгой – игрушкой».
Помимо развлекательной функции, ярко отраженной в пестрых и интересных рисунках, оно ненавязчиво учит маленьких читателей, воспитывая в них высокие чувства морали, ценности дружбы, доблести и храбрости, ценности семьи и мира. Важность заключается в том, что ребенок, прочитывая данные истории, некоторые из которых способны довести до слез даже взрослого, сам приходит к пониманию и осознанию обретения этих качеств.
«Сказки бабушки Гульсифат» — больше, чем книга – это друг малышей, способный говорить на их языке. Данная книга может стать проводником мысли в начале жизненного пути каждого ребенка.
